Guild Leadership Announcement

What a wonderful five years these have been!  From just a few people meeting in the Windham Library to overflowing our new expanded space, hearing from wonderful speakers, and meeting great new friends, we have grown so much.  Because of our expanded day-job responsibilities and other life adventures, we have decided that the time is right for us to pass on the reins of the guild presidency and vice-presidency to our colleagues Rachel Herald and Autumn Nye, respectively, on an interim basis until we all are able to vote on an official slate of officers this October.  Note that Jackie Lambert is remaining as treasurer, and we may be adding one more interim officer as well.  We look forward to remaining as members of the guild going forward.

As some of you heard at our February meeting, Jenn will be the new owner of KnitWit Yarn Shop in Portland starting in a few days!  The shop will re-open on March 12.  We hope you can all make time to stop and say hello.  You may also recognize some of the new staff as our own guild members!  KnitWit is located at 247 Congress Street in the East End of Portland.  Check out the website (to be live soon!) for hours and more information.

Julie will continue to perform as part of some local and national improv groups and is on the board of

And, of course, we will both be doing lots of knitting, designing, and podcasting.  Make sure you listen to our Maine Yarn Podcast to keep up to date.

“So long and thanks for all the fish!”

Jenn & Julie
