I’m starting a new knitting guild in the greater Portland, Maine area.  We are called the Lighthouse Knitting Guild of Maine and we will be associated with The Knitting Guild Association.

We will meet generally the first Saturday of the month from 12:30 – 3:30, except for holiday weekends, at the Windham Public Library – Large Meeting Room.

The format will be a regular knitting group at first, but depending on interest and membership, we will expand out to things like bringing in outside speakers and maybe some fibery field trips.  We’ll have a newsletter to share when all the other knitting groups in the area meet, and bring members the latest in knitting news.  We’ll even try to work out some discounts at local shops for guild members.
