Bristol Ivy is coming to our knitting guild meeting on May 6! She will be teaching a short rows class for members only. Remember that membership is only $10 for the year, so this is a great value. This baby hat is ideal for a beginner knitter. The pattern is clearly laid out and has instructions for both knitting in the round and knitting flat. Simply choose whichever method you are most comfortable with. We made our sample with Edition 3 yarn and used size US 2 & 4 needles.We love Dirty Water Dyeworks' Mini-Skeins here at the shop! One of our favorite ways to play with these amazing colors is to knit the Anguli Cowl from Hillary Smith Callis. Just choose your favorite 5 colors to make the pattern as written. Or if you can't pick just 5, enlarge the cowl to use 9 colors, by continuing to increase until you have 135 stitches , then decreasing down to 53 stitches before you bind off.Each year we collaborate with local artist, Scott Nash, to create a one-of-a-kind knitting bag for us.
