If you have been listening to the podcast, you’ve heard Julie subtly convincing me to start sock knitting. Well, this summer I knit my first pair of socks in a while. I used the book by Kate Atherly called Custom Socks Knit to Fit Your Feet. This book takes you through the math of how to construct socks either top down or toe up. I made my first pair top down and now I’m making a pair for my son toe up.
Here is my first pair, although I did substitute the heel for Cat’s Sweet Tomato Heel.
I used a Regia Pairfect yarn, similar to this one, in a slightly different colorway.
I’ll have the book at guild with me on Saturday as part of Julie’s sock clinic. If you want a copy of your own, just click the picture below to get it from Amazon.
